How to Find your Task Analytics Tracking Code

Find your Task Analytics Tracking Code

The Task Analytics javascript tracking code needs to be installed on your website, app or intranet in order to invite visitors to participate and answer questions. This is a unique javascript code that refers to your account and survey(s).

Step 1: Select your survey
Log in via admin.taskanalytics.com and select the survey you want to install on your website. If you haven’t created a survey, you can create a new survey. You can click on a survey to see the survey’s dashboard and options.

Note:
You do need to have an admin rights to access the script

Step 2: Visit the Setup section
Every survey has a dedicated menu in the top left corner. Select “Setup”.
Select "Setup" from the survey menu
Step 3: Get the installation code
The setup menu contains a menu item called “Code”. Select this menu to view the Javascript installation code. You can either copy the code or send the code by email. If you choose to send the code by email, installation instructions will be provided as well.
Select "Code" option from the Settings menu
The code will look something like this:
  1. <script> (function(a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i){i=/(^|;)\s*_tmc=([^;]+)/.exec(a[c]),i=i?i[2]:"",("done"!==i|| /[?&]_tmsurvey?(=|&|$)/.test(e))&&(g=a.getElementsByTagName(b)[0],h=a.createElement(b),h[d]("src",f+ "?r="+i+"&"+1*new Date),h[d]("type","text/javascript"),h.async=!0,g.parentNode.insertBefore(h,g)) })(document,"script","cookie","setAttribute",location.search,"//in.taskanalytics.com/01234/tm.js"); </script>
