Cookie control: Set the collection rate

You can define the collection rate of your survey. With the “Collection rate (0-100)” input field, you can set the percentage of visitors on your website that is going to see the survey invitation.

Where can I set the collection rate

To set the collection rate:
  • Select your survey
  • Select “Setup” in the menu
  • Select “Settings” in the sub-menu on the right side of the screen
  • Scroll down until you see “Domain settings”
The collection rate can be adjusted by visiting "settings" > "Domain Settings"

How does the collection rate work

The collection rate can be set from 0% to 100%. The percentage defines the number of visitors on your website that will see the invitation pop-up. There’s no selection procedure: visitors get randomly chosen to see the pop-up or not.

For example:
  • 50% collection rate
Every 1 out of 2 visitors on your website will see the invitation pop-up
  • 100% collection rate
Every visitor on your website will see the invitation pop-up
  • 1% collection rate
Online 1 out of 100 visitors on your website will see the invitation pop-up

The collection rate is closely related to the number you enter under Exclude days. That’s why we’ve put them together under the header “Cookie control”. Learn more about the Cause and effect of your collection rate and the number of exclude days.
